Instant Kichdi

Ingredients: 

 

  • 2 cup rice

  • 1/2 cup of moong dal

  • 1 /2 cup masoor dal

  • 4-5 cups of water 

  • 1 tsp of salt 

  • 1/2 tsp turmeric

  • 2 tsp of oil 

  • 2-3 dry red chillies, cut into pieces 

  • A few curry leaves, torn into pieces 

  • one small onion, thinly diced

 

 

Preparation Method:

 

Take a 4qt cooker pan and add rice, moong dal, masoor dal, cut red chillies, vegetables for your choice, turmeric, salt, curry leaves and little oil. To this add water. Cook for 6-7 whistles and serve hot with Ghee.
